Dr. Ying is a board-certified ophthalmic surgeon, fellowship trained in the treatment of corneal disease, cataract, and refractive surgery.
She completed her undergraduate education at Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. She subsequently completed her Master of Science in Public Health at Emory University and worked as an epidemiologist with the CDC in Atlanta, GA for two years.

More Than Fifteen Years Serving South Carolina Patients
Dr. Ying practiced cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery in Greenville before joining Carolina Cataract & Laser Center in 2014, and she offers LASIK, cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange, and corneal care to patients across the Lowcountry.
Dr. Ying earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and was inducted into the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. After a general surgery internship at the Medical University of South Carolina, she completed her residency in ophthalmology at the Storm Eye Institute at MUSC where she served as chief resident. Dr. Ying completed her fellowship training in cornea, external disease, cataract, and refractive surgery at the New England Eye Center and the Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston.
After fellowship, Dr. Ying spent several years in successful practice in Greenville, SC, serving the Upstate’s cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery needs. She joined the Carolina Cataract & Laser Center team of surgeons in January 2014.
Dr. Ying has several publications in ophthalmology as well as epidemiology. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr Ying has been practicing medicine in South Carolina for over fifteen years. She enjoys getting to know her patients while providing the highest quality of eye care.
